Himachal Pradesh is a great state in India which offers humungous options to trekkers across the globe. You can find many places which would offer you high altitudes and much more interesting adventure activities to make memories forever.If you wish to find places for trekking in Himachal then you may Google it online. But the most famous of all in Himachal would be Bir Billing. Bir Billing is a great destination set at a high altitude of 2430 ft above sea level. It is also known for camping and paragliding activities being at such a height.

Trekking Inclusions

You would start your trip from Delhi where the Volvo bus would take you to Bir which is about 550 kms and the time would be around 12 hours. The bus would leave the stand at around 1830 hours and you need to reach 15 minutes before departure time so that you can be introduced to the troop and make the most of this opportunity. Once you reach Bir you would be taken to the hotel to freshen up and move to the trekking. The trek would take about 4-5 hours and would start at 11 am in the morning.

When you reach Billing you would be exhausted to d anything by then. So, the rest of the day would be leisure time to enjoy the scenic beauty which is at 2430 ft high altitude. You can enjoy the dome shaped tents with stars shining right above you. Bonfire and dinner with barbeque would be just perfect for this evening. The next morning you wake up to para glide your way to Bir. This session takes about 30 minutes to reach the landing area. Once you have enjoyed the para gliding activity with the scenic snow clad mountains you would be moving to do some great local breakfast at Bir. The Bir Tibetan colony is a tourist spot and you can enjoy the culture Tibetans follow. The local sightseeing is also arranged within the package which can be enjoyed the most. The day would end by travelling back to the bus stand for the journey back home to Delhi.

Camping And Trekking In Bir Billing, Himachal

Bir billing is one of the most famous adventurees  destinations in India. It is located in the heart of Dharamshala, which is a famous tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh. One can trek from Bir to Billing the distance between Bir and Billing is 14 km. It is in fact a rock road and you can travel on foot. Camping

You can go for paragliding, trekking, camping and even angling in Bir-Billing. Bir is the take-off site for paragliding and billing is the landing site. Bir is at a distance of 35 kilometers from Palampur and 40 kilometers from Dharamshala.
 

Reaching Bir

Bir was peopled by Tibetan refugee in 1960 following the departure of Dalai Lama from Tibet. There are tea gardens and 2 beautiful monasteries in Bir which you can explore. You can go to Bir either by train or by road. You can also reach there by toy train which runs between Pathankot and Joginder Nagar.

You can enjoy most of the adventurous activities here throughout the year! However, the paragliding season is from October to November. The whole of the summer time is a good time for beating the heat of the rest of the country and enjoy the paragliding in the beautiful and calm weather of Bir. Going to Bir Billing and staying in a hotel is not always a true experience of the mountains. One must always camp in such a beautiful place and enjoy nature to the fullest!
