Earlier, nobody was aware of the place, which came into the news in 1984,
when the state government organised an international hang gliding rally at
Billing. After the rally, all the participants rated the place as one of the
best for the sports. The whole route offers steep short cut trek from Bir as it
starts from Badagaon to the Bada Bhangal trail, which leads to the last destination Chana as it is the last settlement on
the hike before Billing.
